Out of 195 countries in the World most of them have a problem with population. Whether that problem is with overpopulation or underpopulation every country has a problem. Some of the problems are completely the countries fault and some of them are not at all. Other common population issues consist of a very substantial birth rate and death rate which would not be good for a country. On the other hand, it could have a very inadequate birth rate which causes a colossal decline in population.
One example of a country with a population problem is Japan. Japan has a very large number of elderly people and not enough children. Japans birth rate is very low because more than half of the people there are over 45 years of age. Their death rate is very low as well which means people live very long there. Since Japan has low death and birth rates their population is declining. If Japan wants to fix this problem their leader should start trying to convince people to start having children.
Another country with a population problem is Nigeria. Nigeria has a very high birth rate. Since their birth rate is so incredibly high, the median age is 18 years old. Nigeria also has a very high infant mortality rate which means many babies die in Nigeria before reaching the age of 1. The average children born per women is about 5 which is very high. If Nigeria wants to change this problem the leader should convince people to have less children.
Lastly another country with a population problem is China. China has the world's largest population. A while ago they had the one child law. Only one child could be had per family. Even after that rule was taken out of affect, people are not having children, so their population is rapidly decreasing. If China wants this problem to be fixed the leader should try and convince families to have more children.
Countries can have population problems for numerous reasons. Whether it's too many people of a certain age group, a high birth rate, or a very low birth rate. Almost all of the countries in the world has a population and it's up to the country to attempt to fix it whether it can be done or not.
