essay

Out of 195 countries in the World most of them have a problem with population. Whether that problem is with overpopulation or underpopulation every country has a problem. Some of the problems are completely the countries fault and some of them are not at all. Other common population issues consist of a very substantial birth rate and death rate which would not be good for a country. On the other hand, it could have a very inadequate birth rate which causes a colossal decline in population.   One example of a country with a population problem is Japan. Japan has a very large number of elderly people and not enough children. Japans birth rate is very low because more than half of the people there are over 45 years of age. Their death rate is very low as well which means people live very long there. Since Japan has low death and birth rates their population is declining. If Japan wants to fix this problem their leader should start trying to convince people to start having children.

This is what I have so far. Out of 195 countries in the World all of them have a problem with population. Whether that problem is with overpopulation or underpopulation every country has a problem. post test

today in class we took the test. I feel I did just decent. Not good but not bad. I think I got about an 80% overall. I got a bit confused on the first 3 questions about the DTM model. Eventually i'm pretty sure I got them right. Other questions I got confused on were the ones about the scenario that you had to correlate to a stage. Another question I got confused on was the ones that either affected or did not affect a change in a select population rate. Fortunately, I did get the one where you had to change the equation to make it correct. Overall I think I did decent on this assessment.

TEST MONDAY

So monday is the test and i'm kind of nervous. I understand what the demographic transition is but I have trouble determining the stage of the country by a select scenario. I understand the general concept of the demographic transition. Today's class was pretty easy, all we did was first go over possible test questions and then we got the rest of class to go over it and study for mondays test.
I wasnt in school 12/4 and 12/5.

12/3

Today's class was pretty easy. We reviewed demographic transition at the beginning and watched a video at the end. Demographic Transition is basically how certain economics such as medical, agriculture and industrial things change the population. I'm kind of confused . about the other stuff about how each stage affects each other. Later in class we watched a more easy to comprehend video about a made up country called zed. The lady explained it alot better. The model is where I get confused.

Demographic Transition

Today, class was very easy. We read a 3 page packet about The Demographic Transition. Demographic Transition is the rate of natural increase related to economic and industrial development. The process has 4 stages and each country is in one of them. The first stage is high birth and death rates. Stage two is Industrial revolution. Technology helped benefit health and food so that people are more healthy. The last stage is medical revolution. better health helps out all the population rates. Everything I just said is put into a graph and describes population change over time.
