Day 1 religion

Today in class we learned about 2 religions Christianity and Islam. Christianity is the largest religion in the world with 2.2 billion people. The founder is Jesus Christ. The head of the catholic church is the pope. We learned about Islam next. Theat is the 2nd largest religion. They have 1.5 billion people. Their founder is Muhammad.  The holy book is the Qu'aran. They believe in the 5 pillars.

BIRTH AND DEATH

Today we learned about birth and death rates. Crude birth rate is the number of births per 1000 people. The crude death rate is the number of deaths per 1000 people. These rates are yearly. They do every 1000 because its like if every country had 1000 people so its easier. The rate of natural increase (RNI) is produced by subtracting the death rate from the birth rate. Net migration rate is difference between people entering and leaving a country. Immigration is always a positive number and emigration is always negative. The number of Mexican immigrants has gotten much smaller every year for the past 3 years.

Today's class was pretty easy. We reviewed demographic transition at the beginning and watched a video at the end. Demographic Transition is basically how certain economics such as medical, agriculture and industrial things change the population. I'm kind of confused . about the other stuff about how each stage affects each other. Later in class we watched a more easy to comprehend video about a made up country called zed. The lady explained it alot better. The model is where I get confused.
