test review

Today in class we went over our test. I think i did pretty good I got a 84%. My mom was happy that I did good too. Exams are in 3 weeks and I'm very nervous. I am going to have to study a lot to prepare for exams. We have to remember stuff from the Garcia story. In class today it was good because we got to relax and not do a lesson. This class was pretty good.

Post test

Today in class we took our test on the 5 major religions. I felt I got a middle B because as soon as the test was handed out most of the information slipped my mind. I really hope I did good enough to bump my grade up because if I do bad my mom will be mad at me. I really like how we have time to go over our notes before the test.

religions day 2

Today in class we learned about more religions. The first one we learned about was the Hindus. They are the 3rd largest world religion. THey are mostly located in india and their holy book is the Vedos. Hinduism has no distinct founder and they are the oldest religion that is still lasting today. They believe in reincarnation. The next religion we learned about was Buddhism. They mostly are located in Asia. Their founder is Siddhartha Gautama. They believe in the 4 noble truths and the eightfold path. Once you have lived a complete life you have reached Nirvana. Last but not least we learned about Judaism. Their holy book is the Torah. They are monotheistic.

Day 1 religion

Today in class we learned about 2 religions Christianity and Islam. Christianity is the largest religion in the world with 2.2 billion people. The founder is Jesus Christ. The head of the catholic church is the pope. We learned about Islam next. Theat is the 2nd largest religion. They have 1.5 billion people. Their founder is Muhammad.  The holy book is the Qu'aran. They believe in the 5 pillars.

post test

Today in class we took our end of unit test. We had about 10 minutes in the beginning of class to look over our notes which was very beneficial. Before the test I was very confident that I would get a good grade. After the test I felt the same way. I finished the test in about 10-15 mins and checked over my work. The test was relatively easy compared to other ones and I think I did good. I really hope I did good because I want my grade to go up.

TEST MONDAY

Today was a relatively easy class. We reviewed population pyramids and watched jeopardy at the end. Population pyramids are very easy to me and I understand everything on it. I think one of the test questions will be about the men being always on the left and the women always on the right. Another question will be the age sections. The 3 different age sections are pre reproductive, reproductive, and post reproductive.

11/14/19

The test is monday and  I am very prepared for it. This unit has been the easiest so far for me personally. I remember the information pretty easily and the information is actually useful so it makes it more interesting. I think I can get an A on this test. My grade in this class is a B so hopefully if I get an A, it brings it up. This weekend I am going to go over the information again to make sure I remember it all come test day.

GROUP GRADES FOR PRESENTATION

Overall, my group did very good. Although some people in my group including myself, didn't have the best presentational skills i think we got the point across. If I had to give a grade, everyone in the group got the same grade except frank. Frank did an exceptional job on finding good things to say, presenting and helping out the group. I would give Frank a 95% and the rest of the group a 90%. My portion of the presentation was cut semi-short due to lack of preparation.

presentations

Today in class we did our presentations on the countries we were assigned. The country my group and I were assigned was Japan. Overall, my presentation was good but I think mine was well under 2 minutes. Everyone else in my group did pretty good. After my group went first I watched the other presentations and this is what I learned. Kenya- - East African country - 48 million people live there. - GDP is $3,500 dollars per person per year - Kenya has the largest economy in east and central Africa - Market based economy - Kenya has an infant mortality rate of 36.1 deaths per 1000 live births - 44% of the people have no electricity Democratic Republic of The Congo- - Based off of subsistence farming ( when you only grow enough food for you and your family) - The Congos GDP is very low, only $800 - 63% of people are below the poverty line - The official language is french Germany- - Most of their exports go to The United States\ - Mostly an Industrial Economy, (makes cars

blog 11/6

Today in class we answered 37 questions about the unit we have been learning about. The questions were from midterms a few years ago. Mr. Schick also said we are going to have a pop quiz sometime soon. If the questions we answered today are anything like the pop quiz we are taking soon, I will definitely get an A. This unit has been one of the easier ones to me. With the questions we answered today, I knew every single answer in my head so I think i'll be pretty good.

review

Yesterday in class we blogged about important pieces information for people to know from the CIA World factbook. One very important statistic is Birth Rate. If your birth rate is too high your population will drastically increase. If the birth rate is too low than your population will decrease drastically. Another very important statistic is the death rate. This is important because it can affect your population. If your death rate is too high your population will start to decrease and if its too low than your population will start to increase. Another very important statistic is the net migration rate. If to many people are coming into a country the population will go up. If to many people are leaving a country, the population will go down.

CIA factbook assignment

One important piece of information is that the United States population growth rate is 80%. This is important because it can help people determine what the population will be in the future. This is also a key piece of information because it can determine when you need to  take action  if the population increases.       Another important piece of information is the United States death rate. The death rate is 8.2 deaths/1,000 population. This statistic is important because you don't want the country's death rate to be too high or too low because that can result in your population dropping drastically or  your  population going up  to  much.       Another very important statistic is the United States birth  rate. The  United States birth rate is  12.4 births/1,000 population. This is important because if your birth rate is too high your  population will be too high and if your birth rate is too low your population will start to drop.       Another very i
